This idea has been copied by uncountable groups and sites around the world.
Deron Beal set up the first Freecycle group in Tucson. The concept has since spread to over 50 countries, with thousands of local groups and millions of members.

Freecycle is a nonprofit movement to reduce landfill waste through a global network of freecyclers.
